Sway & Swoon

Well I get all
weak in the knees
When musician boys
Talk to me
being socially awkward
makes it hard to breathe
When you hold that guitar
And I tap my feet

Well, we all thank god
that he doesn’t know
when he opens his mouth
we want to take off our clothes

Cause he’s the only one here
who uses his powers for good
he makes us sway all night
He makes me swoon (oh you make me swoon)
(in his sentences and tunes)

Well, we all thank god
that he doesn’t know
when he opens his mouth
we want to take off our clothes

On stage he has a power over me
I’m the boat, he’s the ocean
and I’m washed out to sea
and I’d tell him all the, things I need
If only I could get up, the courage to speak

Cause he’s the only one here
who uses his powers for good
he makes us sway all night
He makes me swoon, oh he makes me swoon
(in his sentences and tunes)

Black and white

If you see the world
In black and white
Honey, I’d be the roaring twenties
And we’d drink gin all night

You’re like a classic novel
Hemingway or Fitzgerald
Paint me like Picasso
When you’re drunk and absurd

I’ve always loved vintage
Cause the wine is fine
I’m a sucker for jazz
The way that you keep time
You're not quite Cole Porter
But I don't mind

You’re like a classic novel
Hemingway or Fitzgerald
Paint me like Picasso
When you’re drunk and absurd

Honey I don’t need
To go back in time
Cause with a soul like yours
This era’s fine

Darcy (Prose by poetry)

You might be Heathcliff
To my Elizabeth
Because a hero I, need not
If you choose to impress through lies and duress
You’re surely, not the man  I thought

I am not a romantic
When you stand in the rain
You can be pedantic
But please don’t refrain
From your recitations of poetry
If I could rewrite
This story you'd see

For Mr. Wickham
I can see clearly through
Have I told not
All of my truths to you
If you could forgive me
For being quite uncouth
I’d leave my homestead
And walk days to you

I am not a romantic
When you stand in the rain
You can be pedantic
But please don’t refrain
From your recitations of poetry
If I could rewrite
This story you'd see

You might be angry
And feeling betrayed, but
This is not a war to be fought
If you can forgive me
I’ll try to make you see
That you’re the romantic I want

Your good opinions
Have surely been lost
I made snap judgments
Not knowing the cost
If you can forgive me
Then please tell me so
But if you cannot
Away I will go
